Wow times are tough no premium :(! Oh well! I guess i can just BS here for a while! BS is always good. Well in my absence I have managed to get promoted not only once but twice! in a months time :) Who says hard work dont pay off! I have only been there six months and this is the third promo! Either a good company to work for or im doing a kick butt job!SO every thing seems to be going quite well for me! I couldn't complain! The yion king has a new favorite movie Finding Nemo. Yep seen it 798 times and today will probably make 799 maybe even hit the 800 mark (as often as he says watch it again after its over!) I really dont have to much say today (this is so odd!!) I guess ill leave ya with a photography tip then!

Photography Tip 453??(hee hee) Babies can be so unpridictable! And it is hard to photographs infants sometimes with coming up with an unusual pose! I found that newborns especially will hold on to what ever you give them so if ya want a great picture for infant girls, lay them down on a nice piece of fabric something shiney and wrap them up in it! Kinda like you would to make them sleep. Make sure their hands are sticking out and give them a sting of beads to hold on to or if you have a necklace or something that has importance to you give that to them! Stand above the infant and shoot down towards them! If the picture comes out to dark take a regular old lamp without the shade and point the light towards them and that should lighten up your subject! For boys you can take a blanket and wrap it around them. then take a train and put it near their heads! This is soo cute! Or ya know those huge lollypops! Theyll hold on to those too if their laying down!! The most important thing to remember is to watch they dont eat whatever you give them! Make sure safety is first!

THE KING HAS RETURNED

Okay so almost a month later I have my site up and running. I missed it soo much! So now that I can post my premium has cancelled LMAO I only paid for one month and the whole time I couldn't post! Moneys a little tight now so It may be a few weeks before I will have any pictures posted :( Sorry! Just glad to be seen right now I guess I will settle for that :)

This ones for GODBUD!

Heres roo on his "happy birthday to me!" He was saying this for a week straight! He still thinks that its his birthday and with Christmas coming he will be saying "Merry Christmas to me" for a year until his birthday rolls around!

And of coarse the "Gift....FOR ME!" Pose! His grammy K is there in the background! I love this picture and all the other ones I am going to add color to the balloons ect so you will see those soon. I hope that this is enough to hold ya over for a while I will post as soon as possible!! Thanks for everyone who stops by and comments, WHY DONT YOU POST SOMETHING LOL!

The Yion King

Okay So Im like most parents when it comes to my child. I get away with what I can while he is still little. So when I bought him the Lion King on DVD the day it came out (October) He absolutely loved it! He now even reenacts parts of it! I especially like when he does the part where Simbas dad (Mufasa) tells simba "Remember Me!" Carter talks in his best James Earl Jones voice and Says "Remem ME!" So When the time came to get him a costume for Halloween I thought that we would keep with the theme of the Yion King (He replaces his Ls with Ys!) Because it was two days before Halloween I got this 29.99 Costume at 17.99 and thought what a bargain! I was also so suprised to find that there were some left! I took my purchase homeward and when I got there I showed it to him and he was a Yittle excited about it but rathered showing me the chicken nuggets that he was eating. So I got off work early due to Halloween on the 31st and I had very little time to get him ready. He wore the pants and even yiked how fuzzy they were. When it came time to wear the hood he said "I no yike it!"

Here we have the Yion King Part one after he first put on the Suit. After he replied that he didn't Yike it he said I no wanna be a yion!

Here we have the Yion King again this was after he tried unsuccessfully to unzip the coat!

I did get a yittle smile out of him on this one but it took some convincing!

I guess this was his way of showing me to kiss his yion bum! Oh well I thought that it was cute. So did the mom on "A CHRISTMAS STORY" when she made Ralphie wear the Bunny costume! He didn't wear the hood while trick or treating. A few people giving out candy asked him to put it up so they could see it and he got mad and walked away saying "Mommy, I told you I dont yike it!"

Next year he may be a pirate or Nemo who knows. I will always have the yion king........

The Cursed Family Photo Day

I was thrilled when my husband agreed to have family portraits done. We decided to have them done today after I was done with work. Normally I am not a traitor and spend my money at the place that I work to ensure that I do have a future job. However it is impossible for me to take a family photo with me in it and do it myself...Ya know... So I called a competitor accross the street. They to have had their traitorous days with me in my studio so I figured that I would return the compliment. Our appointment was for 5:30 PM. A half hour after I get off of work. I busted my butt through families that couldn't break a smile and crying infants whose parents wanted just one picture of them smiling to be there on time. I was in fact done and out of there by 5:15. However my husband didn't even leave the house yet. He couldn't find the suit that I wanted our son to wear. So he put on a size to big outfit on him (still a suit just a little big) and a pair of SNEAKERS and ran out the door. We made it there by 5:33 pm. We waited 45 minutes till they finally took us which is weird because there are three people who work there and three studios! Now keep in mind that the place that we were at closed at 6pm! The store manager kept coming over..."Are you done yet...Are you done Yet"...Before we even got our pictures done. They also shut off the power to the backgrounds that we were really wanting. So I know that our son roo had no nap before going... And if you have a three year old or older you must know the importance of a nap before going anywhere. Still he appeared to be happy camper. We finally got ready to go in and I wanted me and roo (we never had them taken with just us) so we went first. I sat down and I called him over but he was too busy playing with a fire truck that they had... So my husband picked him up and set him on my lap...He lost it! He threw the fit of all fits! No PICTURE he screamed! Finally after about five minutes of persuasion he settled down long enough to sit on my lap. Red faced and all we got our picture taken....He wasn't looking at the camera but he is smiling. Okay so great theres one. She didn't try to do it again because the store manager was there again "Are you done yet...Are you done yet..." My husband and roo went next, That one corys looking but roo has his eyes looking above the camera. Still better than nothing. Oh and he isn't smiling. Then the time came for all three of us. By now he found a red car that he could ride in and play with...No he didn't want to come in and get a picture done. That is a bad picture.You can tell that we are at our wits end by now..Redo! I begged them to redo it. Again the annoying store manager came over... They did and carter has his "head tilted to the side "IM BORED WITH THIS SHit!" look about him...Still its cute cause I was bored with it too. I wanted just one of him by himself although I could do it myself I thought it would be nice with different props other than mine and seeing how he loved that red car we could do that and he would be happy. He kept driving it AWAY! He was mad cause he couldn't take it anywhere! Finally, I said to my husband (after a shot that he wasn't smiling) Hold his car there for a second! I went up to where the camera was and I grabbed the little stuffed bear that they thought would make him laugh for some reason and I made it do flips and funny sounds. ©It worked like a charm. But how is that for irony! I do this everyday. It doesn't bother me when a child comes in screaming. I do get annoyed after about the fifth one of the day because it makes it hard on everyone (parents especially) but I never thought that my son would do such a thing. I just wanted a photo where we could look back at and say. That was such fun. Look at how small he was. Now, I'll look back and say do you remember how he threw himself on the ground screaming because he had better things to do with his time.....

We got home, and after Carter ate around 8:30pm we put him to bed. I laid him down, tucked him in and gave him a great big kiss. Said that I loved him and went to walk away and he said to me "Mommy, I wanna get a picture done!"

Ps. I dont know the exact laws of posting a picture that has been copyrighted by a company. They are copyrighted though so please no printing of them that includes you Andrea and Buddy! I have paid for these to be sent to yous! Sorry wish they would have turned out a little better. But they are copyrighted and no selling them either lol!

My first digitally optimized picture! No, I never used a digital camera at home and I just got one installed at work. So I got a photoshop for my computer and was messing around with it. This picture was good but needed a pick me up ya know. There were other people in the background and I removed them. I also made it sepia tone (which I love black and white as well as sepia) then colorized just a few parts of the picture. I really hate the frame on it but when I was experimenting I found that I couldn't remove it once it was on there so that really sucked. These two are brother and sister. My neice and nephew to be exact. All and all I did enjoy the hours that it took to make this picture look like it does. I was so against digital photography before. I thought that (especially when entering your photography in an art show) digital and film photography should be catorgorized seperately. With film you have one chance to get it done right and you cant go back and fix it or enhance it. Digital you can. You can make it better, add people, places and things that are not normally there. I still wouldn't put them in the same catagory when it is for a show. Although they are. I do like the advantages that there are. I like the fact that pictures that I would dismiss can now be fixed to my liking. Just a little old fashioned.

Okay. . .No laughs amongst yourselves about my profile picture! The thing with being the photographer is that you never get your picture taken which can be a blessing! I am one of those annoying photographers that doesn't care if it's the hundredth time Ive taken your picture that day, im gonna take it a hundred more! Film is inexpensive so I dont use it as wisely as I should. Maybe that is why it takes me so long to get them developed. Film is cheap but processing is another story!

This was taken at my grandmothers house as it was mentioned in previous blogs. I just love the old look that it has and how it show that her house is on a hill! I have posted this before but in my profile window and it was discouriging when I replaced them all with other pictures because it was like picking favorites! Everyone have a great weekend!

Okay so now that I have premium I feel that I need to have a worth site worth the money that I paid to post my pictures on. I know that I recently put some of these on my profiles but they were quickly disgarded when I put a new photo on the next day so I am going to start with my favorite pictures that I did on one of my trips to my grandparents house in Pennsylvania. Hope you all enjoy them and I hope that this writing isn't too much for your eyes.

Okay I hope that these didn't turn out to awful big! I would hate for them to look really bad on here so please give me xanga forgiveness if they do because I know not what I do!

Hmmm I guess I should end this with a photography tip: When trying to photograph a group of children you must get their attention! I have had screaming groups of five kids that were too busy playing rather than getting their pictures taken. I find that if you do something like make a goofy noise or playing simon says that really gets them looking! The advantage to playing simon says is you can have them put their hands on their laps and smile all while playing a fun game. One of the advantages for having studied child care as well as photography!!!
